Second try: Zvezda 2S19 MSTA-S Self propelled howitzer
My first kit from Zvezda. A very pleasant surprise. An imposing and detailed kit, with a very beautiful molding of the parts and without any real assembly worries. I'd like to try the Hobbyboss version to compare, but I'm curious to try other kits from Zvezda in the future. I hope they will decide to expand their "modern" range in 1/72 like their 1/35 range (TOR M2, Typhoon-K, Pantsir-S1, Terminator 2...).
Not Cold War, not Soviet... but close, Russian. A digression from my fetish modelling period because I like building and painting kits, Soviet or Russian preferably because I like the look of their vehicles. Just because this unfortunate conflict gives me a pretext to tackle a whole host of newer vehicles. Just for aesthetics and without politics.
First try: ACE Gaz Tigr-M
A very nice kit, not free from some fitment issues as usual with ACE (but the progress in recent years is huge). The kit allows to realize the initial version STS, and the current reinforced version Tigr-M. I intend to build more of them because there are a large number of versions and tempting terrain adaptations. Too bad that ACE or a aftermarket brand does not offer us (yet) the versions equipped with the Arbalet-DM remote control weapons station or the new one with the 30mm gun.
