Z (28) T-90A (Russia)

Developed to replace the ubiquitous T-72 tank in the then Soviet Army, the T-90 is still based on the same platform owing to its cost-effectiveness, simplicity and automotive qualities. As Russian tank production dwindled in the years before and after the breakup of the Soviet Union, the T-90 production was at first chaotic. With the resumption of slightly more substantial orders in the early 2000s, particularly for India, the modernised T-90A version was launched equipped with a new welded turret, a new engine, most recent Kontakt-5 reactive armor and more efficient sighting systems (a high performance thermal imaging was only installed from 2016).

The model is a fantastic 3D one produced by Camel Model from China available via Hobby Easy. The level and the fineness of the details are really spectacular. Their productions (to date T-72 A, T-72B1, T-72AV, T-90 and T-90A) are definitively not cheap but really impressive.

Z (27) BTR-MDM Rakushka (Russia)

The BTR-MDM Rakushka (Shell) is a tracked armoured personnel carrier based on the BMD-4M chassis and destined to replace the BTR-MD in the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) which received the first vehicles in 2015. The BTR-MDM is of all-welded aluminium construction providing the crew with protection from small arms fire and shell splinters. The driver is seated at the center front with a seat on either side of him, the left one for the commander. At the rear of the vehicles there are individual seats for 12 soldiers maximum. The BTR-MDM is equipped with a remote weapon station mounted on the to left side of the hull armed with a 7.62mm or a 12.7mm machine gun. Another 7.62mm machine gun is mounted at the front right side of the hull and two smoke grenade dischargers are mounted to each side.

The 3D printed model is from STAN models  and is a very nice one that I have been waiting for a long time. I just made some small corrections, added a camouflage net (self-made with Green stuff), some gear (Scale23) and 2 figures from Alex Miniature and one from China.
