BAOR Infantry (UK)

Some photos of my 20mm BAOR miniatures before they disappeared in a drawer due to lack of space in my showcase. Mainly RH Models (formerly Liberation miniatures) and some Elhiem Figures.

FV4201 Chieftain Mk11 (UK)

Epitome of the British armour during the Cold War, the Chieftain was the BAOR main battle tank from the mid-1960s until the late 1980s. One of the very last upgrade for it was the MK11 version were the Chieftain received, among other things, the Thermal Observation Gunnery System (TOGS) which greatly multiplied its lethality in combat.

I finally finished painting the Takom kit, that I had already assembled a long time ago. This kit, which allows you to make versions 10 and 11 of this mythical MBT, is a real little gem full of details. Nothing bad to say except that it is perhaps a little fragile for the wargaming tables. I don't know anymore where the 3 figurines used come from... (made 2020-2022)

SNAR-10 (USSR)

Introduced in the Soviet Army in 1975 and by early 1980s in several Warsaw Pact armies, the SNAR-10 (NATO Big Fred) is a self-propelled battlefield surveillance radar based on the ubiquitous MT-LB tracked vehicle. The system has only a limited artillery locating function but can provide location on stationary and moving battlefield targets. It is normally deployed close to infantry and artillery observation posts.

The kit is an old one from ACE. As always with this brand, the kit need some works but at the end give a good representation of the vehicle (made 2022).
