Z (39) BMPT "Terminator"

The BMPT "Terminator" is an armoured fighting vehicle developed by Russia on the T-72 chassis following the Soviet-Afghan War et First Chechen War experiences. Heavily armed and armored it is designed for supporting tanks and other AFVs mainly in urban areas. The BMPT is armed with four Ataka missile launchers, two 30mm auto cannons, two grenade launchers and one coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. He is equipped with a modern computerised fire-control system that include thermal sight. The basic armor is reinforced with 3rd generation Relikt ERA on the front and both sides of hull and turret and with slat armor one the rear. Entered in service in 2018, the number of BMPT in the Russian Army is still very low (no more than a dozen in service) but enjoy a big media coverage of it's use in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.

The kit is from Zvezda and, while a good one, it sported the early turret style that is here replaced by the updated version from the Best Resins conversion.
