From 1957, the Belgian army received 771 M75 APC from the US Army as military aid. The Americans were withdrawing the vehicle from service after less than 3 years of use, production costs too high and excessive height leading to its abandonment.
The Belgians were going to use the M75 until the middle of the Eighties. From the basic troop transport version will be subsequently declined command post, maintenance, engineer and mortar carrier versions.
