BMD-2 (USSR)

Finally, some Soviet stuff ... The BMD-2 airborne IFV, was introduced in 1985. It is essentially a direct evolution of the BMD-1, the main novelty being the adaptation of a new turret armed with a stabilized 30 mm 2A42 multi -purpose autocannon, the same weapon as the BMP-2. The turret is also armed with an ATGM launcher capable of firing AT-4 Spigot or AT-5 Spandrel ATGM. The BMD-2 is, like its predecessor, amphibious and aerotransportable and can also be air-dropped via a rocket parachute system.

First, the kit from ACE. Before the arrival of the S-model kit, it had the advantage of being the only one available ... As usual, not the easiest to assemble, but with a little work, the result is very satisfactory. (made 2013)

Then the S-Model kit. The happiness of the wargamer model maker. A nice little kit, easy to assemble but well reproduced ... and in addition, 2 kits in the box ... One regret with S-Model ... they have not released anything for too long (BMP-2, MT -LB, ...), moreover do they still exist? (made 2015)
