ZSU 23-4 Shilka AA Gun (East Germany)

The lightly armored Soviet self-propelled, radar guided anti-aircraft weapon system ZSU 23-4 Shilka entered service in the Soviet arsenal at the end of the 1960s. Armed with four 23 mm autocannons the Shilka was at the time a highly effective combination of mobility with heavy firepower and considerable accuracy.

The Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) of the German Democratic Republic acquired 131 of them between 1968 and 1978.

My East German Shilka is a repainted diecast from Fabbri. A little bit crude but it does the job. (made 2015)
