The AT 105 Saxon is a wheeled armoured personnel carrier operated by British infantry battalions and supporting arms from the mid-1980s. Beside the vehicle commander and the driver, the Saxon offer space for ten fully equipped infantrymen. Initially developed for counter-insurgency operation in Northern Ireland, the Saxon was adopted by the British Army to motorised the non-mechanised British units based in the UK which were tasked with reinforcing the 1st British Corps in Germany in case of a Soviet attack. Command and Engineers variants also existed. Up to 1989, the Bristish Army received 524 Saxon.
The model is the Hobby Den resin and metal one. More like a basic wargaming model but with a little work and some additions they suit me. (made 2016)
